To celebrate and embrace mountain film and culture, outdoor sports, and environmental initiatives, the Rotary Centre for the Arts has joined the VIMFF (Vancouver International Mountain Film Festival) as an affiliate partner to bring The Best of Climbing to the Kelowna community.
With the move away from in-person festivals due to COVID-19, the VIMFF has adapted and expanded its offerings to an online format. Join us online for the Best of Climbing Show featuring three films including two historic Grand Prize-winning films that tell the incredible stories about tackling the unimaginable and sharing the emotional tales of the children of acclaimed alpinists. Plus there is a live virtual photo workshop from adventure photographer Corey Rich, and two climbing clinics hosted by Arc’teryx athletes Alannah Yip & Will Stanhope.
The Vancouver International Mountain Film Festival Society is proud to have partners who share similar values to inspire our community to celebrate and embrace mountain film and culture, outdoor sports, and environmental initiatives. Thank you to all our partners who contribute to the vibrancy and sustainability of VIMFF.
The Best of Climbing show gives you access to watch three films, two pre-recorded virtual climbing clinics, and join a live interactive virtual workshop. The films and clinics will be available to watch from noon PDT on Wednesday, June 9 until Wednesday, June 23. Once you’ve purchased your ticket, you’ll be able to access the films via the VIMFF Online Portal at any time during this viewing window.
For the Best of Climbing show, tickets are only $15. Your ticket includes access to three films, two pre-recorded virtual climbing clinics, as well as a live, interactive virtual workshop that is hosted on Zoom.
You only need to purchase one ticket per household. If you’re planning on watching with a few members of your household, we encourage you to consider donating a few extra dollars during checkout, to support the VIMFF and our filmmakers.
