About the Event

Evergreen is our premier annual fundraiser event held to raise funds for Youth Arts Education Programs at the Rotary Centre for the Arts. To celebrate its 10th year, Evergreen has expanded to include 326 guests and a colourful New Orleans twist.

While Evergreen jazZ'd is still the RCA's fabulous black tie fundraiser event, we've decided to put an extra helping of "Fun" into the celebrations. Various locations within the Rotary Centre for the Arts will be transformed into the French Quarter of New Orleans complete with street performers, fire spinners, burlesque, Jazz and a whole lot of Funk!

The evening will feature a gourmet dinner, world class wines, the Evergreen Art Gallery, fantastic silent auction packages, an exciting live auction presented in the Mary Irwin Theatre and a full evening of high energy Louisiana Blues entertainment! The Rotary Centre for the Arts welcomes Andy & Tj of Silk FM as this year's Master of Ceremonies. Tickets are $200 per person.

School District 23 (24 different schools K-12), Rutland Boys and Girls Club,
Private and Alternative Schools, Home Schoolers and Special Needs students and individuals.

  • Tours and Workshops are generally free, or offered at a very low cost to ensure there is no barrier of participation.

  • Professional staff develop and deliver the programs

  • Program highlights of the past year include: an interdisciplinary art camp during spring break; two weeks of summer arts camp; weaving and drama workshops for grade three students; student matinee performances; Education week art display and noon hour music performances by students; master classes with visiting professionals.

  • Our goal is to support the creative growth of youth (age 18 and under) by funding the cost of Youth Arts Education Programs at the RCA.
