Evergreen Art Gallery - Info & Submissions

Artist Submission Form    |    Evergreen Home

The Evergreen Art Gallery, a component of Evergreen, was created to celebrate and draw focus to both established and emerging artists in the Okanagan. Proceeds raised through the purchase of artwork are committed to funding the annual costs Youth Arts Education Programming at the RCA.

The Evergreen Art Gallery features many rich facets of expression, including graphite, acrylic, oil, paper sculpture, clay, bronze and stone. Artwork will be available for purchase through September 1st to November 20th, 2009 and will be on display from November 9th - 19th, 2009 in the Upper Lobby at the Rotary Centre for the Arts.

Artist Submissions

The Rotary Centre for the Arts is calling artists of all mediums for submissions to the Evergreen Art Gallery. Please note this is a juried exhibition. Artists are welcome to submit up to 5 works for consideration. All artwork submissions must include a gallery appraisal, which will accompany the artwork when it is sold.

The following galleries are participating in the appraisal requirement:
Gallery 421 - 421 Cawston Avenue
A Woodside Design Gallery - 1561 Pandosy St. (near Mosaic Books)

Artists are asked to consider the theme of music, the arts, and celebration in the creation/submission of their works. While all price points are encouraged and dependant upon the artist, the Rotary Centre for the Arts is requesting artists to consider submitting works between $300 and $800.

For work that is sold, donating artists will receive 50% of the total funds received, as well as a tax receipt for the balance. Prior to the event, all donated work will receive excellent media and web exposure. The exhibition will also be featured in Homes for the Holidays Brochure and artists will receive acknowledgement in a full-page thank you ad.
