Community Programs that promote creativity,
expression and inspiration.

Community Programming at the Rotary Centre for the Arts

Over 250,000 people per year visit the RCA for performances, classes and workshops for students and all ages of the community.

The program enriches the school experience for more than 10,000 children per year.

Tours and Workshops are generally free, or offered at a very low cost to ensure there is no barrier of participation.

Professionals develop and deliver the programs

Program highlights of the past year include:
an interdisciplinary art camp during spring break; two weeks of summer arts camp; weaving and drama workshops for grade three students; student matinee performances; Education week art display and noon hour music performances by students; master classes with visiting professionals.

Heart Fit, for those who wish to explore creative expression,
is a facilitated program in our Open Studio. The Open Studio is an all day drop-in studio for visual artists to create and meet other artists.

All of our adult drop-in programs are popular:
Basement Musicians, Feel the Rhythm Community Drum Circle, Salsa Thursdays and the Open Studio each provide a place to drop in and be creative, and meet like-minded people.

Teen programs: Mural Painting with professional artist instructors and Belly dancing, which builds self-confidence and fitness.
