"Mama's Gone" by Linda Rempel
Mama's Gone, a series of twelve drawings by 4th year ACAD student Linda Rempel, documents the experience and tragedy of loss from an observers point of view.

In Sync
A collaborative group project facilitated by Linda Rempel is featured in the east end of the Galleria.

What to Wear on Sunday and Every Other Day of the Week

The garments and objects in this series are concieved of as character traits in symbolic form and are a nostalgic reference to a period of time when wearing one's 'Sunday Best' was a widely understood social norm embedded in the lifestyle of most Canadians.

Maria Klippenstein
Maria was born in Southern Manitoba and was raised as an orthodox Mennonite. She grew up in the Chortitze Mennonite Community in Manitoba. The family emigrated from Russia in 1874 when the Mennonites faced persecution in Russia. Mennonites are practising pacifist people and will not take up arms. Maria’s art is an extension of her Mennonite heritage and represents the feelings and experiences she remembers of that life. Maria resides in Kelowna, BC. mklippenstein@rogers.com
