Sunshine Theatre Presents... Wingfield Unbound
Date: December 1-5th at 8pm
Canadian actor Rod Beattie, best known for performing in the Wingfield Series, will be coming to Kelowna December 1-5th to present Wingfield Unbound.
The Wingfield Series is six stage comedies about Walt Wingfield, a city stockbroker who quits the rat race to buy a hundred-acre farm in the mythical Persephone Township.
Wingfield Unbound explores Walt's fourth season on the farm (his first as a married man), and his attempt to preserve the memory of the old rural community of Persephone Township by promoting the crumbling Hollyhock Mill as a museum site.
But the locals say the mill is haunted. Undaunted by such superstitious fears, Walt sets out to prove to the neighbours that there's nothing to this curse business -- with near disastrous results.
Tickets to Wingfield Unbound are $30 per adult / $10 per student and can be purchased online at Select Your Tickets, by visiting the RCA Box Office, or by calling (250) 717-5304.

Works by Broc Popoff
November 22 - December 31, 2009
About Broc Popoff...
As a long time native to the Okanagan, the local backdrop has had strong influences in Broc's landscape style and choice of subject matter.
Using a variety of specialized digital equipment for landscapes, he not only captures traditional colour and black and white landscapes, but also uses infrared for its unique perspective on otherwise familiar scenery.
Large panoramic prints are his choice of presentation, and to best replicate each scene the prints are displayed on high contrast metallic or flex paper.

Tina Siddiqui - "BC, Mi Paradiso"
November 22 - December 31, 2009
Opening: Friday, Dec. 4th, 5-8pm (Artist in attendance)
Artist Statement
"BC, Mi Paradiso" series is the result of British Columbia's natural beauty that has changed me as an artist. Previously never drawn to landscape painting, I succumbed to my awe for the stunning views all around me. My humble tribute is a collection of Pastels, Acrylics and Mixed Media.
A specific moment in time that captivates my imagination is the driving force that compels me to paint. Although I enjoy all mediums for painting, minimalistic rendering remains my primary focus.
