Harry Manx to kick-off Spotlight Series & his new album "Bread & Buddha"
If you love the blues, mixed with a dash of classical Indian ragas, then you won't want to miss Harry Manx perform at the Rotary Centre for the Arts on October 1st at 7:30 p.m.

It's the live setting, Manx says, that the bridge between "heavenly" India and "earthy" American blues is most effectively built.

"I love to see Indian and Western music working together and its effect on the audience" explains Manx. "My goal has always been to draw the audience as deep as possible into the music."

A successful touring performer, Manx has brought his "breathtaking" solo shows across Canada and into the US, Australia, and Europe. Playing the Mohan Veena, lap steel, harmonica, stomp box, and banjo, Manx never fails to envelop audiences with his warm vocals and hauntingly beautiful melodies.

A prolific artist, Manx released his ninth album "Bread and Buddha" earlier this week. Two years in the making, the album was self produced with help from Juno-award winning engineer John "Beetle" Bailey. "Bread and Buddha" includes ample use of piano, organ, scored strings, drums and bass, giving the songs a lushness and maturity, much like seasoned wine.

With several esteemed awards under his belt, Manx new album has already received favourable reviews. In support of the new album, CBC Canada Live will be taping Manx's performance at the Rotary Centre for the Arts. We look forward to seeing you at this exciting event!

Tickets can be purchased online at Select Your Tickets, by visiting the RCA Box Office, or by calling (250) 717- 5304. For more information on Harry Manx visit www.harrymanx.com.
