With only a few weeks away before the 10th annual Evergreen fundraiser event, the Rotary Centre for the Arts is gearing up for a full evening of fun and flair, New Orleans style!
Presenting sponsor Tom Budd was recently at the Rotary Centre for the Arts to promote Evergreen JazZ'd with an exclusive photo shoot. Joining Tom were entertainers John Lee Sanders and Anna Jacyszyn, performing a sampling of their music. video link
To celebrate the 10th anniversary, guests will be greeted by a colourful new format, bursts of high-energy entertainment and New Orleans style cuisine served in a social manner. Upon arrival guests will be greeted by the Kinshira Fire Troupe and the sassy Cheesecake Burlesque Revue, followed by a healthy serving of funky jazz and blues.
With a focus on entertainment and food, John Lee Sanders will be performing in the Funky Butt At Congo Square and, just around the corner, the Anna Jacyszyn Trio will perform lush jazz in the Preservation Jazz Hall throughout the evening.
Guests will also enjoy an array of New Orleans style menu items including Pulled Pork Sliders, Gazpacho Soup Shooters, Blackened Catfish & Andouille Sausage Jambalaya and Fennel Poached Prawns & Dill Mussels, prepared by Chef Travis Hackl of Okanagan's Finest Foods.
The evening promises to be an exciting event with many experience packages available for bidding, including private concerts & cocktail parties in your own home, exciting getaways and many other fantastic gift items.
Proceeds from Evergreen JazZ'd are once again committed to funding the annual costs of RCA Youth Arts Education Programming. With these funds, the Rotary Centre for the Arts is able to offer quality programming at little or no cost to children in our community.
Tickets for Evergreen JazZ'd are $200 per person and are available for purchase by calling (250) 717-5304. Groups purchasing 10 or more tickets will receive 2 tickets for free. So gather up your best set of friends for an enjoyable night at the Big Easy and "Let the Good Times Roll!"
