A Rotary
Centre for the Arts - Fee Assistance Program

download the application form
The Rotary Centre for the Arts (RCA)
Rising Star Fund was established to help support, develop and nurture
the creative growth of youth by offering funds to help cover the cost of
any program, event or workshop at the RCA. The purpose of the Rising
Star Fund is to maximize the number of children who have the opportunity
to participate in the Arts.
Accessibility to the Arts must be open to all those interested , without
prejudice, and that equal opportunities must be provided to deserving
students to explore their creative potential in a meaningful way. The
Rising Star Fund committee will also consider applications to assist
with fees of parents and guardians (i.e., Big Brother or Sister) who are
accompanying the child to these events.
Fee Assistance will be awarded to individuals to attend any workshop or
event offered at The RCA. These bursaries are intended to provide fee
assistance for workshops and materials for the individual participant,
and their adult accompaniment (if applicable).
These funds are intended to facilitate the cultural growth of the child
and will be awarded based on need and merit.
Successful applicants will be awarded
a credit towards the cost of the workshop and materials. The bursary has
no cash value. Priority will be given to first time applicants.
Applicants will be contacted by a representative of the RCA. All
information provided by the applicant is confidential and private and
any unauthorized review, distribution, other use or the taking of any
action in reliance upon this information is prohibited.
Funds supporting the Rising Star Fund
are obtained through the RCA's most significant fundraisers, the annual
Evergreen event.
Supporters to date include Evergreen,
the Budd Family Charitable Foundation and the interest established
yearly from the RCA fund held at Central Okanagan Foundation.
