ABC EXPERIENCING is
an experiential learning adventure which explores Arts, Biology and Culture
by introducing participants to the aboriginal relationship with nature:
…Their ways were
to understand human nature and the environment and their part in it.” Chief
Seattle The
program is
structured to promote perceptive imaginative observation of trees, rocks and all natural forms. Observations
are then processed through authentic creative expression that encourages
the joy of realizing nature is a living force that mirrors
one’s own life force. Painting
will be the medium for the conference workshop. Participants will leave
with clear strategies and worksheets to share their experience with
students. Workshop presenter Karen Close is an artist, a writer and an arts advocate. For twenty-seven years she taught English and Art within public and independent school systems at both the elementary and secondary levels. Following mid-life retirement she has pursued a personal quest to explore her own creativity and advocate for increased respect for the creative uniqueness each of us possesses |
