# 600  Maggie Reigh

Dance, Creative Movement, and Social Responsibility

workshop # 600
Maggie Reigh,

Explore a range of rhythm and movement activities that help integrate body, mind, and emotions in both you and your students. Share ways in which these activities can be integrated into day to day classroom life to create a more fun and inviting classroom atmosphere.

This is a fun and exciting way to encourage personal and social responsibility.

  • Help students develop assertiveness, self-control, and awareness
  • Expand imagination
  • Improve concentration and focus
  • Strengthen inner resolve to resist peer pressure
  • Create and respect healthy boundaries
  • Encourage cooperation and explore ways to connect more effectively with others

This creative movement and dance will invite the child in YOU to come and play – and it’s for everyone: reserved toe tappers, passionate dancers, and accomplished athletes.  Come prepared to move, to have fun, and to dance your stress away!

Who’s it for?

·                    Elementary, Physical education, Music, CAPP and Drama teachers who want creative ideas and exercises to teach movement, and help students develop social responsibility.

·                    Anyone who wants to improve physical fitness, release stress, have fun, and learn more about themselves.
