All NEW volunteers are provided with training before commencing service. Training includes an orientation of the facility. Customer Service Training and training that is specific to the area in which they will be working, will also be provided.
While focusing on organized goals, the development of volunteer programs also considers the various needs of volunteers and the community at large. Volunteer program development is an ongoing process and remains flexible to the changing needs of the Rotary Centre for the Arts and to the community it serves.
The Rotary Centre for the Arts encourages students, 16 years of age and over, to volunteer for most of our regular volunteer positions. Our minimum commitment requirements are modified slightly to give consideration to student lifestyles. In addition, students are allowed flexibility around exam and project times so that studies are not compromised by their volunteer involvement.
