Youth Arts Education

Youth Arts Education

Each season the Rotary Centre for the Arts offers a variety of Youth Arts Education Programs to youth in our community. These programs include courses, workshops, and performances in visual art, theatre, drama, dance and music.

Since the development of Youth Arts Education Programs in 2006, over 30,000 children have experienced programming events at the Rotary Centre for the Arts. The programs are generally free, or offered at a very low cost to ensure participation.

As city funding is committed to the on-going facility operation of the Rotary Centre for the Arts, direct program costs are funded by proceeds raised at Evergreen, our signature fundraiser event, and by contributions made to the RCA Endowment Fund.

Program highlights over the past year include the Spring Break Arts Blast, Summer Arts Blast Camps, Education Week art display & noon hour performances by students, master classes with visiting professionals, weaving & drawing workshops for elementary students and year-round student matinee performances.
